Buck’s Pocket State Park is a hidden gem 45 miles north of Mentone in Northern Alabama, and the Tiny House is one minute away from it all.
This secluded natural pocket called a (canyon), on Sand Mountain, which is a part of the Appalachian trails is surrounded by 2,000 acres of parkland containing forest, streams, and a lake. The area is known for its stunning views of a seemingly untouched landscape from high up Jim Lynn Overlook Point Rock. The Tiny House is a five- minute drive or a beautiful hike up the mountain, and the choice is yours.
High Falls Park is located nearby and offers more scenic trails. But the centerpiece of High Falls Park is a 35-foot waterfall and a natural rock-formed pedestrian bridge that overlooks it. And at times, the base of the falls can span over 300 feet across. Which makes this another must-see site!

-Buck’s Pocket offers over 15 miles of trails through thick woods and past rocky streams to waterfalls, scenic overlooks, and wildflowers.
-Lake Guntersville State Park is 15-20 minutes away from the tiny house, offers a protected eagle habitat, and has been raising awareness for this endangered bird for more than 35 years. So you might see a bald eagle during your stay, especially at Morgan's Cove.
-Morgan’s Cove is an integral part of Buck’s Pocket State Park. Located 7 miles downstream from the main park area it’s where Lake Guntersville can be accessed for boating, fishing and swimming.
-Boat ramps and marinas can be found along the lake as well as opportunities for hiking, picnicking and bird watching.
-In addition, both parks are on the North Alabama Birding Trail and provide a plentiful opportunity to spot many species of waterfowl, songbirds, and shorebirds. Pay close attention, and you may spot a Blue Heron, a Great Egret, or a Wood Thrush.
